Additional Info

Glazing Glass
Glazing or insulating glass has two or sometimes even three panes of glass sealed together with argon gas trapped between them as an insulator. If the windows are sealed properly, and they should be, condensation should not occur between the panes.

An Open or Closed Door
Sometimes it makes all the sense in the world to close a door and open another. If you have an old house that has the door in an awkward area in the room and you are looking to replace the door, maybe it is time to move it as well and put it in a more accessible spot. You might replace a single hinged exterior door with exterior patio doors for easier access.

Contractors
If you need a contractor to do your window and door replacement project you should; make sure you ask all the contractors you interview questions such as; have you replaced windows and doors before? Does the contractor you are considering have a license that allows them to work in Ontario? Do they carry insurance, should any problems arise with the work on your home?

Low E coatings
Low-emissivity glass has a coating that reflects heat and is made of a thin metallic material that keeps the heat inside in the winter and the warmth outside in the summer. It will reduce energy costs and block UV rays while they allow ninety five percent of natural light in they are without a doubt an energy savings.

Be quiet
If you want to reduce the outside noise to the inside you can do this with your window replacements by choosing insulated or double pane windows.

Heat and air conditioning loss
Leaky doors and windows can account for 25% energy loss to your home. You can have your home tested for energy loss to determine what windows or doors require replacement. These tests can be arranged through your window and door replacement company.
